The eleventh installment of Ajatuksen Valo zine is here! This time there's interviews with Ydinaseeton Pohjola, Viimeinen Kolonna, Thisclose (UK), Civil Olydnad (SWE), Alert! Alert! (POL), Distortion Faith zine (SWE), Arrestum and Kohti Tuhoa. Lots of record reviews, live reports and other articles (topics ranging from Discharge bootlegs thu G.I.S.M. to Jamppa Tuominen).

The zine is published in A5 format and contains 76 pages. Black and white, written in finnish. It costs 4 euros hand to hand or five euros including the shipping inside Finland.

We finally had our copies of this Sivuraiteella EP by the Turku City Hardcore Kids VÄISTÄ! The band has it's roots deep within the Turku hardcore scene, but this is totally different kind of hardcore than the bands they have played with previously. This five-song record is their second output on vinyl. No metal, just punk and groovy riffage with an old school touch! Check for yourself!

The first issue of Ajatuksen Valo was published in April 2012. As of June 2014 it's time to have the tenth issue of the zine out! Now we return to hardcore, the most important genre for the editor. TII NAKUJALKA LP & TAILGUNNER CS OUT NOW! UPDATES!!!

Tii Nakujalka was formed a few years ago in Hämeenlinna, Finland. So far they have released a "Rukousnauha" tape thru Shitsuck Tapes and 7-inch split with Haistelijat thru Joteskii Groteskii. JG actually assisted on this one as well, with the little help of Persnetto Records, Likainen Avaruus and Piiri. Alright, we were all equally taking part in this.

Anyway, they play progressive punk but keep it dirty. Tii Nakujalka's music has been described as "a ride on broken moped into Hell". The LP contains seven pieces of terror, and you can have yours for ten euros! Check the samples here!

Tailgunner, on the other hand, is a young heavy metal quartet from Joensuu, Finland. They play traditional heavy metal with some doom metal leanings, and the band members are previously known from Misty Knight. This tape contains two songs of pure heavy metal bomb raid! One epic and slow tune, one faster blaster. Fans for heavy metal! Check slow! And check fast! Costs you four euros!

This "half-issue" of Ajatuksen Valo represents continuation for the post punk oriented ninth issue. Now we have interviews of Crusades (dark and melodic punk rock), Cold Institution (cold post punk with two basses) and the now-deceased Palace Beautiful (anarchopunk with a post punk vibe). Additionally we have a B-rate movie article, plus some writings about music, movies and shows. Plus there's a photograph of the author drinking beer in the forest when he was 17 years old.

Pelkkä Väliviiva - Muistoja konserttilavoilta live tape OUT NOW and distro updates

This is a live tape by Pelkkä Väliviiva, a project by the man involved with Sur-rur, Seksihullut and Home Video, Ville Vuorenmaa. Here we have two live shows recorded in Turku featuring some tracks from Pelkkä Väliviiva LP, some previously unreleased material and Sur-rur songs. There's some introverted music for around one hour over here!

Currently there's no real samples available, but here's some Pelkkä Väliviiva studio tracks. Note that the Pelkkä Väliviiva live experience is much more minimalistic and raw than the studio outputs.

This is a joint-release with Joteskii Groteskii. The tape is also available for wholesales, however just in small amounts.

Raptus – Se minkä aurinko ympäröi Tape OUT NOW

Raptus is the most underrated finnish rock band based in Tampere. And a four-headed demon. They released a 7” EP a while ago, and this ”Se minkä aurinko ympäröi” tape was bred as a companion for that record. These six songs recorded in the same sessions where those 7” tracks were crafted, but these are different songs. If you want to describe Raptus' musical output, you could say it's neurotic noise rock blended with post-punk elements and most importantly; love. Get both the 7” and the tape for the ultimate Raptus experience! Have a listen!
